Squirrels could live forever
because the world is full of "nuts".

babies

These little Grey Squirrel babies
have lost their mother. With care they can
look forward to being released in around
four months time.

This poor little fellow
now knows what can happen
when you get close to a cat.
With a little TLC from our
licensed Wildlife Rehabilitators
and the help of a Veterinarian
he should survive his trauma.

A Veterinarian provides the cast.
A licensed rehabber provides a place to recover.
There is lots of TLC to go around.
This guy will have to stay off the ski slopes
and stay in the lodge for a while.

cages

These squirrels enjoy their new home.
As the animals grow, we try to provide
an enviornment which closely resembles
their natural habitat. Here this rehabber
has provided an apartment for three.

"Hey, save some of that food for the rest!"

ready

"See, I told you I can climb a tree.
Now perhaps you'll set me free."

Just a few more days for observation
and you will be ready for release.

free

"Hooray, hooray! I'm free today."
"Wait a minute, this is not a tree!"

A rehabber named this fat fellow "Sumo Squirrel".
She was quick with her camera as he scurried up a tree.
After several months of rehab Sumo is now free to return to the wild.
